Jasmine Sun Studio is a homegrown brand that celebrates girlhood through handsewn accessories like pouches and bags. I created a visual identity that reflects the ‘made-with-love’ spirit, brought to life through a retro color palette and playful design elements that evoke the warmth and authenticity of artisanal craft.
Logo concepts
When Jasmine Sun Studio approached me to create the logo design, I was asked to capture two aspects in its logo: a jasmine flower & 'made with love'. I wanted to explore a hand drawn logo to emulate the aunthencity of products that are handmade, giving it a personal touch through imperfections.
[1] I sketched out a few versions that would represent a jasmine flower
[2] These were some of the previous design options, playing around with different typefaces and the placement of the flower illustration, before we decided on the current design.
[3] A sun was incorporated to represent the “sun” in the brand’s name.
The warmth of human touch
Jasmine Sun Studio's brand colour pallete showcases a sense of warmth and timelessness, inspired by the retro tones of the 60s/70s. Due to the brand's focus on handmade accesories, we wanted the typeface to reflect the imperfections that come with artisinal craft plus the warm colours sort of hints at the warmth that comes from "human touch".
Final outcome
The visual identity is central to Jasmine Sun Studio’s brand and guides how the design is used across both digital and physical materials. Social media graphics, tags, stickers, and business cards were designed to express the brand’s handmade and personal nature. I also produced two promotional videos (and counting!) to support the brand's outreach online
I also designed a series of promotional posters to help Jasmine Sun Studio promote their booth at vendor events.
